Protect and enhance health care. Advocate for registered nurses and their patients. Balance work and life in a great workplace. Make the difference.
Join the Saskatchewan Union of Nurses as an Employment Relations Officer.
Defend the interests of SUN members. You are a labour relations practitioner with at least three years’ experience representing members’ interests in the workplace. In your toolkit, you have a background in union-side labour relations, advocacy, and education such as a degree in industrial relations, business admin, law, social sciences, education or nursing. But more than that, you breathe collective agreements and have a thorough working knowledge of Saskatchewan labour legislation. You bring razor sharp instincts to defend and advance the rights of the members you serve. And you are passionate about health care and believe in trade union principles.
Support registered nurses. You’ll provide consultative, advisory, education and advocacy services to Saskatchewan registered nurses so that they can practice safe patient care in safe workplaces. You’ll use informal resolution, union-management meetings, and grievances to improve patient care and working conditions for members. You’ll provide leadership advice for SUN members in their workplaces.
Work in a great environment. We are proud of the excellent salaries, benefits and working conditions that we provide in our unionized workplace. Our officers work 35 hours per week with flex time, and start at $52.91 per hour.
