Employee and Family Assistance Plan (EFAP)

Saskatchewan’s Health Care Employers, along with their Union partners, offers a comprehensive Employee & Family Assistance Plan for SUN members covered by the SUN/SAHO Collective Agreement. This program is voluntary and confidential, and cannot be used as part of a disciplinary process. Services are provided at a location away from the work site.

The program includes counseling services to help employees and their families. Some examples of the issues that employees seek help with are:

  • Substance abuse/dependency
  • Employment/workplace related concerns
  • Emotional problems
  • Legal problems
  • Financial problems
  • Marital problems
