The following is a list of commonly asked questions regarding SUN's Annual Meeting.
I am unsure my registration was received, how do I check?

I made an error/forgot to add something on my registration form, but I’ve already submitted it online. How do I fix it?
If you spotted an error on your registration confirmation, please do not re-register; we ask that you contact Deborah Graham at firstname.lastname@example.org directly to correct the issue.
Can I pay my registration fees by credit card?
SUN is pleased to offer SUN members multiple payment options for their convenience.
Registration fees can be paid by cash, cheque (payable to SUN), or by debit or credit card utilizing PayPal.
PayPal is a secure, web-based service for merchants to use while purchasing items on-line. Through a PayPal account, registrants can pay using their credit or debit cards in just a few simple steps. PayPal services will only be accepted for on-line registrations.
Who can attend the Annual Meeting?
All members of the Saskatchewan Union of Nurses (SUN) in good standing are welcome to attend the Annual Meeting.
Who receives funding?
As per Membership Policy 038-M-2007, SUN Provincial provides funding to the SUN Board of Directors, Committees, SUN District Council (SDC) Chairpersons or an approved alternate, and SDC Representatives or an approved alternate.
Alternates for the SDC Chair must be approved by the SDC Chairperson.
Alternates for the SDC Representatives must be approved by the Local Executive.
Who is eligible for Youth funding?
As per Membership Policy 038-M-2007, SUN Provincial provides funding to one (1) youth representative (up to age 30 at time of event) from each SUN region to attend the Annual Meeting.
Youth funding is not provided to everyone who applies, it is allocated by random selection between the applicants from each SUN region.
To be eligible for youth funding, applicable members must register as a Youth Delegate and select YES to apply for youth funding.
What is an SDC Representative?
As per Local Bylaws, during their Annual Meeting each Local is to elect a SDC Representative for each facility/agency (sub-local) in which they represent. The SDC Representatives, among other duties, attend the Council meetings for their SDC.
In the event the SDC Representative is vacant, the Local President typically assumes this role.
My Local President can’t go, can I go in her place?
If your Local President is also your Local’s SDC Representative, and is unable to attend the Annual Meeting, with the approval of your Local Executive, you may be the alternate SDC Representative for your Local.
Outside of the Provincial funding provided to the categories listed above, each Local has the authority to determine who shall receive funding from the Local. Members are encouraged to speak to their Local Executive as soon as possible regarding possible funding options.
Can I attend as an unfunded member?
Of course! All SUN members in good standing are welcome to attend the Annual Meeting and may register as an unfunded member. Unfunded simply means SUN Provincial, or your Local, will not be providing financial compensation for your wages, travel, accommodations or meals.
As a registered delegate, lunch would be provided on each day you attend.
Can I register for the Education Day (odd years only) portion only? What is the associated cost?
SUN members are encouraged to attend both the Education Day and the Annual Meeting to receive the greatest benefit from their attendance; however, we recognize work and personal schedules may not accommodate that. SUN believes education is key to building a strong, healthy membership and union, and with that in mind members would be allowed to attend the Education Day portion only.
There is no registration fee to attend the Education Day portion of the Annual Meeting; however, members only attending the one day are not eligible for provincial funding.
If you wish to attend the Education Day only, please contact Deborah Graham at email@example.com.
I need to find a room share partner, how do I find one?
SUN members seeking a room share partner to help reduce the costs of hotel accommodations, may access a list of SUN members seeking the same.
Members can view a Public Room Share List (containing name, Local # and phone number) for those who are seeking a room share partner. This report is to assist members in finding a room share partner for the Annual Meeting. It is important to note that SUN will not manage the room sharing nor give out additional contact information due to privacy issues.
Upon registration, members provide SUN with permission to publish the above contact information.
