Leadership Series: Local Presidents

In 2018, SUN Provincial launched our Leadership Education Series designed to continue to build the capacity of our Local Leaders and provide them with the tools and resources they needed to take a focused, consistent and strategic approach to addressing member concerns.

"Great info! Very Informative."

"Already as of today started to use what I learned! Excellent day – thank you."

"After nearly 4 years as the Local President I finally feel like I have a legitimate grasp on what my duties entail and know how to better deal with issues within the membership."

"I found this workshop very valuable. It gave concise and practical information in the toolkit provided, and because I have entered another role in our local, it addressed a lot of the questions I have been thinking about."

Back by popular demand, this one-day workshop designed for Local Presidents, will once again take a look at the complex and changing practice environment, the crucial roles our leaders play protecting our collective rights and advocating for their fellow SUN members, and the processes in place assist SUN Locals in understanding and navigating their role representing members under the new provincial structure.
While the content for this year’s workshop is similar to the information presented last year, our experienced Local Presidents in attendance are encouraged to share their experiences, lessoned learned and personal successes to help our up-and-coming SUN leaders.

This workshop is designed for Local Presidents or a designate.
Additional members of the Local Executive may register to attend, if space permits, as locally funded or unfunded members.
