Local President's Virtual Workshop
November 10 & 12 | Four Times to Choose From
This half-day virtual workshop, designed for Local Presidents, will once again take a look at the complex and changing practice environment, the crucial roles our leaders play in protecting our collective rights and advocating for their fellow SUN members, and the processes in place assist SUN Locals in understanding and navigating their role representing members. During this session we will look at:
- Defining leadership roles within SUN
- Clarifying Roles & Responsibilities
- Local's Role in Addressing Member Concerns - Tips & Tools
- And more!
SUN’s Education Program Has Gone Virtual!
To ensure members continue to receive the tools and resources they need to advocate for one another, the SUN's Local education program, including the Local President's workshop, has been adapted to be delivered through SUN’s Virtual Event Space powered by EventMobi. All members need to engage in the session is a computer, tablet or smartphone with sound and an internet connection. The virtual event space will provide you with the opportunity to connect with your facilitators by asking your questions and engaging in live polls/surveys.

Additional Local Executive members may attend as locally funded or unfunded members.

Access information will be provided to registered members 1-2 days in advance of your scheduled session.
Workshop materials will be mailed to registrants the week prior to the workshop.
||Provincial funding is available to attend one (1) above the above-noted session times; funding will be assigned to eligible Local Presidents or designates only.
Provincially-funded seats are limited to 100 seats between the four sessions and will be determined by random draw. For this virtual event, provincial funding will be limited to wages as per Membership Policy 026-M-2007; applicable for only one session.
To be eligible for the funding draw, members must complete the registration form by 1200 hours on October 29, 2020; selected members will be notified via email by November 2, 2020.
