Course Overview

The Fitness to Drive course is a comprehensive course that offers detailed information in the following main areas:

Module 1: Introduction: Overview of the Purpose and Function of the Fitness to Drive Program

Module 2: Cognitive Impairment

Module 3: General Medical Conditions

Module 4: Physical Impairment

Module 5: Alcohol, Drugs, Psychiatry

Module 6: Miscellaneous Cases

Module 7: Wrap Up Session: Summarizes the modules and deals with any outstanding questions or concerns.

Each area provides several cases that highlight how one should proceed and queries you on what you should do. The course also provides a downloadable PDF document on Screening Tools and Resources. Finally there is a short quiz at the end of each module to test your knowledge and Discussion topics to discuss key areas of content in the course.

Target Audience:

Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Occupational Therapists, and Eye Specialists required to report in Saskatchewan. Other health professionals are welcome.
