Employee & Family Assistance Plan
Saskatchewan’s Health Care Employers, along with their Union partners, offers a comprehensive Employee & Family Assistance Plan for SUN members covered by the SUN/SAHO Collective Agreement. This program is voluntary and confidential, and cannot be used as part of a disciplinary process. Services are provided at a location away from the worksite.

Group Life Insurance Plan
SUN members who are permanent part-time and full-time must enroll in the 3sHealth Group Life Insurance Plan. Casual or temporary SUN members are eligible to enroll in the Life Insurance Plan based on hours worked. Life insurance is two times a member's regular salary. Dependent and Optional Insurance is also available. The cost of this plan is shared with the Employer.

Health & Dental Benefit Plans
SUN members have Extended Health, Core Dental and Enhanced Dental Plans, provided by 3sHealth, and adjudicated by Great West Life. The Extended Health Plan provides prescription coverage, vision care, and enhanced dental coverage. The Core Dental Plan provides basic dental coverage. The cost of these plans is paid entirely by the Employer.
NEW: Beginning June 1, 2020, the coverage for psychology/social work will increase from a combined maximum of $1,000 per insured person per calendar year to a combined maximum of $2,000 per insured person per calendar year. To learn more, please visit the 3sHealth website.
