The healthcare system is crushed by an onslaught of high-acuity patients in workplaces that are chronically short-staffed. SUN members are stressed, exhausted and burnt out. Registered nurses are experiencing what is known as moral injury as a result of these conditions. 

Join SUN for two virtual Wellness Sessions on Wednesday, January 18, at 12:00 and 20:00 and hear from Dr. Margaret McKinnon, an expert on moral injury. These sessions will explore the qualities of moral injury and the impact of working through a pandemic and during a critical nursing shortage. Participants will learn the tools and resources available to help understand the range of moral emotions healthcare professionals are experiencing.
