The Board of directors approved a motion to sponsor the 2020 Governor General’s Leadership Conference for $2500
The Board approved to fund an additional 38 members to the CLC Triennial Convention in Vancouver in May 2020.
The Board of Directors approved a motion to increase the in-province meal allowance for Board, Committee and provincially-funded members to seventy-five ($75.00), or for partial days:

Mergers:
The Board approved the merger of Local 226 Carrot River Health Center into Local 264 Nipawin and Area Home Care to become Local 264.3
Board Meeting Mar. 10-11, 2020
Financial Decisions:
The Board approved to increase the mileage rate for Board and Members to $0.53/km effective April 1, 2020, based on the CRA 2020 mileage rates.
The board approved a donation of $5000 to Saskforward to support the creation of video with a lens on social justice, the environment and engaging in healthy dialogue for building positive communities.
The Board of Directors approved a donation of $5000 to the Food Banks of Saskatchewan.
SUN’s Annual $50,000 Community donation recipient was the Food Banks of Saskatchewan. Given the need for Food Banks caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, this donation was fast-tracked.
Board Decisions:
The Board accepted the Draft Audited 2019 Financial Statements as prepared by MNP.
The Board approved a motion to shift the resources of the Union to support members regarding COVID-19 and provincial pandemic.
The Board approved cancellation or postponement of all SUN events until June 30, 2020.

Financial Decisions:
The Board of Directors approved a donation of $2500 to the Stephen Lewis Foundation.
The Board of Directors approve a donation of $50,000 to the Unemployed Workers Help Centre.
Board Decisions:
The Board of Directors approved the cancellation of the 2020 Annual Meeting.
The Board of Directors approved the transition of SUN events from in-person to virtual until December 31, 2020.
On June 4, 2020, SUN advised the SHA of SUN’s resumption of full labour relations and professional practice functions.
