We get to be there for the most precious moments in a patient and their family’s life– whether it’s in labour and delivery, or on a medical unit, in hospice care, long-term care, mental and community health facilities or anywhere else in the system registered nurses are there – we’re there for the happiest, scariest and saddest times in our patient’s lives – it’s an indescribable feeling of honor that only nurses truly understand.
