On October 14th, the SHA implemented universal masking strategy as an added level of precaution to protect employees and patients; these measures are in addition to the continuous masking guidelines currently in place.

As reported in the SHA Daily Rounds email (October 14), effective October 19th, all health-care employees will be required to wear a mask on entry to SHA facilities and while traveling through all public/common areas or working in shared spaces in non-clinical care areas where physical distancing cannot be maintained.

All health-care employees will be required to wear either a medical mask or their own cloth or medical mask on entry to and in all public/common and non-clinical care areas of the facility.  Medical grade masks remain required while working in clinical care areas or while providing direct care to patients.
