Expression of Interest - Focus Group: Supporting Equity-Seeking Members

At the 2025 Annual Meeting, the membership voted in favour of developing a Provincial Standing Committee around equity within SUN.

This future Equity Committee will:

  • provide insight to the SUN Board of Directors on issues about diversity, equity and inclusion; and

  • provide recommendations on how to ensure SUN is diverse, equitable, inclusive and accessible.

The Ad-Hoc Committee on Equity has been hard at work carving a path for the future Equity Committee.  To assist the Ad Hoc Committee in their work, they are looking to engage interested SUN members to discuss their barriers as equity-seeking groups and what they may see as solutions to ensure SUN is diverse, equitable, inclusive and accessible.

WHEN: Wednesday, April 22, 2026, from 11:30 – 1:30 pm, lunch will be provided

WHERE: Queensbury Convention Centre, 1700 Elphinstone St, Regina

WHO: Maximum 50 participants to be selected by random draw.

  • All SUN members are welcome to participate in the focus group, inclusive of allies and members from the following equity-seeking groups:

    • LGCTQ2S members

    • Indigenous members

    • Racialized members

    • Members with Disabilities

    • Internationally Educated Nurses members

FUNDING: There is no funding available to participate in the focus group.

DEADLINE TO SIGN UP: To be entered into the random selection draw, members are required to complete the online form no later than 1200 on Wednesday, April 8.
