On October 1, 2021, the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) announced that as of October 1, 2021, a Proof of Full COVID-19 Vaccination Policy Directive is in effect for all SHA employees. View the SHA Full COVID-19 Vaccination Policy Directive
The SHA has stated that “SHA team members will be required to submit a declaration form regarding their vaccination status, intention to enroll in the monitored testing program at their own cost or intention to seek accommodation by October 15, 2021. All current SHA team members will be required to submit their proof of full COVID-19 vaccination status in early November 2021. The Saskatchewan Union of Nurses (SUN) is currently seeking clarification on this new policy directive and SUN will communicate with members when more specific information is available.
In the meantime, SUN will need to look at matters on a case-by-case basis until specific information regarding the application of the new policy directive has been provided by the SHA.
