Since December 2022, SUN has communicated that changes were quickly coming for members working in Public Health, with the Saskatchewan Health Authority's (SHA) introduction of the Primary Health Care Network structure. We have done this through member information sessions and member alerts.
Now, after further review, the SHA has determined that the implementation of these changes is delayed indefinitely, and will not occur on April 1, 2023, as previously communicated.
SUN is committed to continuing discussions with the SHA to ensure compliance with the collective agreement, minimize negative impacts of the organizational change, and at the same time ensure options for SUN members. We will continue to provide updates to members as information becomes available.
