On February 25th, 26th, and 27th Saskatchewan Union of Nurses (SUN), Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) and Saskatchewan Association of Health Organizations (SAHO) representatives met to continue building upon previous proposal discussions.

Much of the conversation focused on staffing and the important work of negotiating language that will help to ensure a strong, safe, and supported nursing environment in this province, as well as continuing to develop clear, updated definitions. SUN’s Negotiations Committee was pleased with progress in a number of areas, including conversations and agreement on updating language related to discrimination, harassment, accommodation and the grievance process.

SUN’s Committee remains dedicated to achieving clarity, common understanding, and an updated approach to collective agreement language. The Committee looks forward to continued progress at the next set of bargaining dates, beginning March 25th, 2025.

Negotiations Updates are regular communications meant to keep SUN members informed of the bargaining committee’s activities and the status of SUN’s bargaining efforts.
