On February 11, 12, and 13, representatives of the Saskatchewan Union of Nurses (SUN), Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA), and Saskatchewan Association of Health Organizations (SAHO) met to continue discussions on proposal packages.

As this will be the first agreement negotiated since the 12 Regional Health Authorities amalgamated into a single Provincial Health Authority, much of the conversation centred around establishing clear, updated definitions. While discussions on this topic can be challenging and slower-paced at times, the clarity of language and definitions will provide an important foundation for the entire collective bargaining agreement.

SUN’s Negotiations Committee was pleased to see further progress and looks forward to the next set of bargaining dates, beginning February 25, 2025.

Negotiations Updates are regular communications meant to keep SUN members informed of the bargaining committee’s activities and the status of SUN’s bargaining efforts.
