The Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) Health Care Worker (HCW) Hotline (1-833-233-4403) has been reinstated and will start receiving calls as of Wednesday, Sept. 29.

Calls to the hotline will be answered Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:30 hours.

For questions that do not require a same-day answer, staff and physicians can email the OHS HCW Hotline email address at ohs_healthcareworkers_covid19@saskhealthauthority.ca.

Staff or physicians who require assistance on evenings, weekends and statutory holidays should call Health Line 811 if they are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, require testing or need to speak urgently to a nurse. They should contact their local Occupational Health and Employee Health Nursing (OHN/EHN) teams for questions related to COVID-19 in the workplace.

The OH&S HCW Hotline was established to support a central entry point for SHA staff and physicians needing screening and referral for COVID-19 testing and as a resource for general information about workplace safety, personal protective equipment, and infection prevention and control related to COVID-19. It provides guidance for potential COVID-19 exposures and returning to work.

With the fourth wave of the pandemic upon us, the OH&S HCW Hotline is being reinstated due to increased demand on OHN/EHN teams and Managers/Directors who require support to answer staff and physician questions related to COVID-19 in the workplace.
