We are extremely pleased that Carolyn Strom has won her appeal. SUN is proud to have supported Ms. Strom and the voice of all registered nurses in Saskatchewan and Canada throughout this important case – a case that had far-reaching implications for freedom of expression, democracy, and the ability of registered nurses to speak out both as professionals and as individual citizens.
 
This appeal was an important victory for nursing, patients, and the rights of individuals, whether they work in healthcare or not, to use their voice to publicly advance important issues and promote positive change in healthcare to the benefit of all Canadians.
