SUN is proud to donate $9,000 ($1 for each member) to Farmland Legacies, a registered non-profit charity, which holds agricultural land in trust and works to promote and communicate sustainable values. The headquarters of Farmland Legacies rests on a working organic farm nestled just south of Little Quill Lake near Wynyard, Saskatchewan. This location, referred to as "the Home Quarter", aims to be a model for sustainable land use and agriculture. The agriculture yield will support Saskatchewan food banks. On-site facilities, when fully developed, will provide living quarters and educational space for participants and visitors.

"For the Saskatchewan Union of Nurses it is imperative that we are able to be a part of the preventive side of holistic care.  We just feel it's a fit with SUN's mission and vision and we are so proud to be able to support Farmland Legacies -- Their priorities absolutely line up with SUN's commitment to the social determinants of health" -- SUN President, Tracy Zambory
