As more information and details around policies and protocols begin to surface regarding the Province’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, you and all SUN members can be reassured your Union is committed to ensuring you have the information and support required to take care of yourself and your patients.

As healthcare workers, our advice will be sought by family, friends and neighbours. We are looked to as leaders to provide information about the health and safety of individuals. Protecting ourselves and our families is the first thing we must do. It is of the utmost importance to stay informed and make decisions based on accurate information. As professional practitioners, we are charged with the responsibility to advocate for the safety of our patients as well.

SHIFT IN SUN RESOURCES

The SUN Board of Directors has authorized a shift in our resources so we are able to support SUN members to the best of our ability as they advocate for patients and for their own health and safety. The business of the union will continue; however, we will be focusing on priority and urgent matters related to COVID-19. With the recent Visitation Policy implemented by the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA), meetings with members and/or the Employer will be held virtually and not face-to-face. All other non-urgent meetings will be rescheduled.
